Born and raised in sunny Southern California I am an advocate of health foods, sunshine, and runs along the cliffs in Huntington Beach. A trip to Yosemite or Big Sur is practically a yearly requirement and adventuring beyond that is always desired. Through the many adventures life has given me, I have been transformed into a passionate individual that loves learning and growing by experience.
I am a firm believer that experiences from childhood until now have molded and shaped me into the woman I am today. Beginning at 7 years old, I participated in different sports teams and competed as a gymnast. Although my gymnastics career ended after a few years, it instilled in me a drive for nothing by my absolute best. Day by day I would seek perfection in each movement, routine, and skill. That drive for my absolute best has been integrated into everything I do from work, to school, to training for half marathons.
After graduating high school, I left the country to live in Nicaragua, The Philippines, and Malawi for 9 months. The challenges of that time were immense, but the personal growth overshadowed the difficult times. I learned to engage and appreciate cultures far different from my own, tried intriguing new foods, and lived life in an unfamiliar way everywhere I went.
